Born in Los Llanos de Aridane  (Isla de La Palma), 1985. At the age of 13 he started guitar lessons at the School of  Music  of the Cabildo Insular (La Palma) with Juan Carlos Brito. In 2003 Pedro moved to Madrid where he obtained his classical undergraduate diploma at the Conservatory Adolfo Salazar under Soledad Plaza and studied world music at the Creative Music School with Nono García and Joseph Salvador.

 

A graduate of the Royal Conservatory  in the Hague (student of Enno Voorhorst 2007-2011), this versatile artist received master classes from Eduardo Isaac, Hein Van de Geijn, Antonio Duro, Miguel Trapaga, Alex Garrobe, John Ruocco, Marcos Socias, Fabio Zanon and Zoran Dukic.

 

Pedro has participated in several festivals: III Opera Festival 2006 (Canarias) guitarist of the Minsk Bolshoi Opera in Rossini´s Barbiere di Siviglia, Womad Festival 2009 (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria), 28ª Feria Internacional de Arte Contemporáneo 2009 (ARCO Madrid) , 20ª Mercat de la Música Viva de Vic (Barcelona), Ilustratour Festival 2011 (Spain), Canarias Jazz Showroom (Spain), Festival Jazz Heineken (Spain), Amsterdam Festival, Merida Fest 2014 (Mexico), Olimpic Stadium  (Amsterdam), Mariadal Festival (Rossendal) and the Music Festival of Leiden. He has also played with the Netherlands Youth Orchestra (NJO) and has organized recitals with violinist Emmy Storms in the Philarmonie (Haarlem), Veluvine Theater (Nunspeet), Orpheus Theater (Apeldoorn), EDE Theater, Gigant Theater, Dakota Theater, Museum de Cruquius.

 

 Concert halls such as Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Zinco Jazz Club (Mexico City), CECUT (Tijuana), Rietveld Theater (Netherlands),  Teatro Chico and Teatro Circo de Marte (Canarias), Teatro Infanta Cristina (Canarias), Clamores and Galileo Galilei (Madrid), Olimpic Stadium (Amsterdam) have hosted his performances.

 

 At present, Pedro is combining his classical training with jazz and world-music influences. He just recorded his first CD – “ Un sorbito de café “ (A tiny sip of coffee) with guest singer Nadia Basurto and his trio: clarinetist Emilio Parrilla and bass player Alessio Bruno. As a teacher he works in the British School and Virtuossi Music School of The Hague, feeling inspired and challenged by the diferent talents he has the opportunity to meet.
